IRAQI DELEGATION SPEAKS WITH CONGRESS ANDTHE AMERICAN PEOPLE

NETWORK has a long history of advocating for justice in Iraq, and we continue to be proactive in the search for peaceful solutions to the ongoing violence. The first step in achieving peace is to hear the voices of Iraq. Since the Iraqi people are the ones with firsthand knowledge and the greatest stake in the future of their country, NETWORK is calling on U.S. government officials and people throughout our nation to stop, listen and consider what they have to say.

Toward that end, NETWORK is hosting a delegation of Iraqis coming to Washington on March 29 to speak directly with Congress, the U.S. media and the American people. Delegation members, most of whom are women, represent a range of backgrounds, views and faith traditions. What they have in common is the desire to bring peace, stability and a future to their land.

 

NETWORK invites people of peace within the U.S. -- and throughout the world -- to continue to dialogue with the people of Iraq in order to create a more peaceful tomorrow for all.
